Finally I played it and it is very cool! I really like that it goes right to the point, not like those modern games that spend 30 min telling you the story. I only have one problem with this game... it is too short!
The artwork, voice acting, sound effects and music choices are fantastic! The puzzles are easy to solve. Even though is was made in a short amount of time, it shows the care you put in every detail. It’s short but fun to play.
Great game really enjoyable. I've always enjoyed these point and click retro styled games. Love the artwork and sound. Like mentioned below the voice acting was great and the music is sufficiently eerie! The puzzles were fairly simple and logical which is great, often I find myself stuck in a game like this.
Guess I found a bug (or I'm just stupid) - if I don't take the "heavy shielding" from the aux storage with me, I have nothing to patch the breach with on the engineering deck, and since I can't leave the deck before I've fixed the breach, I've successfully fucked up the game. :D
Interesting. Dang, you’re right. Once you enter engineering you can’t get back out to go get the shielding. I’ll see about an update. Thanks for the heads up.
Great game - I really enjoyed it! There's lot's that I could compliment, but if I pick one thing it would be the beautiful visual design, both in itself and the way it aided the storytelling. If I had to pick something to criticise it would be that there is a crucial action near the end and we don't get to see ourselves performing it, which would have been way more satisfying. Thank you for the really fun experience! :)
Pretty cool! Good voice acting and was a fun adventure! Adventure games were always my favorite back in the day (aside from everything you made with Apogee/3DR!). Keep up the good work!
Welcome to the adventure game genre with this cool game. I've always had a soft spot for games in the classic point and click style. Loving the pixel art and the voice acting. It's pretty easy to finish, but the puzzles are sensible and the pacing is nice, making this quite the enjoyable short sci-fi story.
Thanks for playing. Any longer games would definitely have more involved puzzles. Being a jam game I just wanted this to be an easy, chill, experience.
Cool! Thank you for playing it. That monster went in at 5am on the last day! I saved the art until last because I was so buried. It’s all I could manage.
Thanks for playing Artyom! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Looking back, the path/puzzles are too easy but better too easy than too hard. I was so busy implementing I had no time to design on the fly. Next time, or a bigger game outside the crunch of a jam!
Puzzles are great, I never stuck and the gameplay felt very fluid and intuitive. I also want to add that you did a good job with sound design: space scene feels as cold and endless void with such simple, but talent mix of art and SFX! Made a few notes as a gamedev too ;)
Great little adventure game - esp. considering it was created in just 2 weeks by (mostly) solo dev! 👏
Love the art style in this - really nice pixelart. The sound design/fx work well too, all works together nicely - good choices. Took a few attempts to complete, as I ran into bugs (below for info) - but other than that - was a fun adventure, congrats & good luck in the voting! 🤓👍
BUGS
While in space, I tried using the Engineer's access card to enter Aux deck - player auto-floats back & enters storage deck, but now I can't click on anything? (broken)
After getting music card, but failing to use on floyd (coz still no power) - I clicked to leave for space, when walked then faded to black and... stayed black (was still able to clcik in the black and eventually got out again to space) (WAS broken, but recovered)
Then I fell for the first bug again when trying to get to Aux deck from space, coz he says "need the engineers access card to enter this deck"
(I saw ur response below, which made me realise I was trying to enter right-hand side of ship from bottom - once I went up & over, it worked like a charm!)
Paul thanks for playing and the feedback! Both the issues you ran into are fixed in a just uploaded v1.1. Let me know if there are any more issues. Both were due to sleepy brain and just cranking to complete and no real thinking/testing time!
Really excellent entry (story, visuals, ambient...) but I got stuck in the Auxiliary room right after entering it. For some reason, I couldn't click on anything or move, I could just navigate through my inventory.
Thanks for playing. Sorry about the bug. I think I know happened? We’re you perhaps near the bottom of the ship 9n the left and clicked on the Aux door on the right, across the engine jets while holding the card? If so, I have a fix but I needed to test it first. Will get it patched asap.
Fwiw, if this is what you did, you can still complete the game now. Just not supposed to use the card from that spot. It starts pathing you and you scrape along the ship and enter the wrong room and it breaks. Just fly to the other side.
Thanks for the Patch, it works like a charm now and I've finished the game! Really wonderful experience and the ending was perfect. I love Star Trek references in there :)

The puzzles were quite difficult but I enjoyed the experience a lot. I hope you make more of these.

Wow, this was really good. The voice acting was on point and the story was cool. Keep it up.

I was surprised at how good everything looks for a game made in such a short amount of time. Great voice actor too!

Lots of fun! Keep up the good work.
fun stuff! nice work GB :)
The eerie music and the sprite complemented each other perfectly.
A short and sweet story is always refreshing to play through! Great work!
Gave me Space Quest I vibes in the best way. Love the atmosphere, the voice acting was fabulous and all around such a fun adventure.
Fun lil' adventure! Finished it, had a good time.
Would love to see more now that you've got your own SCUMM system going!
Definitely good choice on the voice actor. Easy but fun and you nailed that TOS-era Trek feel. Thanks!

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’ve always had a soft spot for adventure games too.
Very fun and well written old school adventure game. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for playing it and glad you liked it. Appreciate the video!

Cool short game! I love the style.
Ana, thanks for doing the video. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great atmosphere and voice acting, nicely polished too.
Thank you for playing it.
Amazing! I really love to play games like that. thx for sharing
Thanks for playing!
I expected a joke twist, but the plot was played straight, which was somehow more surprising!
The art is super on point and very pleasing to look at.
Thanks for the comments on the art. First time I’ve done that for a game like this and glad you enjoyed it. I can do better next time!
Thanks, this was fun! Adventure games are so good.
Indeed they are. Thanks for playing.
Thanks George for this short but entertaining adventure.
Thanks, and I’m happy you liked it.
A beautiful and well-written short game, it's like finding a lost demo of a game from the 90's. Impressive voice too. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Great game. Well designed and good story. And the voice acting is cool ! Bravo
Appreciate you playing it Norman. Travis is an amazing voice actor. Tell a friend or two ;) Haha.
Yeah i will think about that :-)
That's really great - art, voice acting, story. I really love it
Thanks for playing it Marco and the comment!
That was fun! I didn't run into any bugs, only a huge alien monster 😎
Cool! Thank you for playing it. That monster went in at 5am on the last day! I saved the art until last because I was so buried. It’s all I could manage.
Awesome little game, took me around 15 minutes to finish. Had a ton of the Space Odyssey vibes, love it!
